If you have an unplanned pregnancy, a complicated pregnancy or you are thinking about having an abortion, we want you to know that we are here to help you in every way we can.
When we use the term 'counseling' at Amethyst Health Center For Women, Inc. it does not mean that we intend to provide women and their family with psychotherapy or intervention.
Our first concern is providing support to the woman seeking our services.
Some women do not want to ever have children, many become pregnant when they are not prepared to become a mother or to have another child.
We wish to provide women with solid information about the procedure she is requesting. It is important that she knows and understands important facts and details in order to be able to give informed consent.
The objective of a counseling session is allowing a woman to express herself and understand her feelings about her pregnancy and her decision to have, or not to have an abortion.
We want to determine first, that in fact, it is her decision and that she is in not being pressured in any way to end her pregnancy.
